Stranger Things: Eleven

Eleven is crushing a can of coke using only her mind, as demanded by members of the laboratory
  • The CIA is conducting experiments as part of Project MKUltra, a CIA Mind Control Program (started in 1953)
  • Eleven is the daughter of Terry Ives, a participant in these experiments, and is born telekinetic
  • Eleven was taken from her mother at birth, against anyone’s will, and was raised in the National Laboratory in Hawkins, Indiana as a test subject to develop her psychokinetic skills
  • The CIA aimed to use Eleven for remote viewing and to access other dimensions for the purposes of spying on other countries

Here, the government is seen taking targeting and advantage of Eleven, based on her specific traits or “gifts”, against her will. There is a complete negligence of fair human treatment as the government is only using Eleven for their own personal benefit, promising nothing in return.

Eleven has a flashback of the lab when entering a wardrobe, a similar space to the place she was held at the lab
